Social media is its own planet. People live their own reality, create their own reality, and can change the course of someone's reality. Social media has become a get-away for people when the pandemic forced us to be cooped up in our houses in March 2020. From baking banana bread, to lip-sync challenges, online watch parties and singing songs together while maintaining social distance became a way for people to stay in touch. On a pandemic-laced day of 3rd May 2020, some screenshots started getting viral from a chat group called Bois Locker Room. The chats featured texts from boys where they commented on minor girls' pictures, and their bodies, and also had comments on raping the girls. On 4th May 2020, a young boy accused of rape by a young girl committed suicide in Gurgoan. Were these two incidents connected? Was this a scam to accuse some young boys and the boy committed suicide because he was guilty or he just couldn't handle the online harassment? And why such young boys will text some vile disgusting things about some young girls?
