Horrific stories about what the hostages in Gaza endured over their two years of captivity are starting to surface. Some were so deprived of food that they now have to be taught how to eat normally again. Their suffering raises the question: Do you believe God could have liberated the hostages two years ago? Why, then, didn’t he? Today, we look at two theological approaches to evil and suffering that remain helpful and hopeful today.
