In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we look at 1 Samuel 13:1–15 and consider the danger of rushing ahead of God’s timing. Saul’s impatience cost him his kingdom, but his failure also points us to the One who never fails—Jesus, the true King after God’s own heart. From the Jewish mindset of covenant obedience to the New Covenant promise fulfilled in Christ, this passage challenges us to wait on the Lord with faith and obedience. In the Second Pour, we celebrate Noah in the 1st grade for his birthday, enjoy breakfast for lunch, and highlight a busy day for our Middle School, JV, and Varsity Volleyball and Soccer teams as they face Village Christian. We also cheer on our Cross Country team as they race at the old Golfview Golf Course in Hope Mills.
