In this episode Maxwell Cooper, M.D. interviews Shan Padda, a serial medtech entrepreneur that is currently Founder and CEO of Harvard MedTech, a company that has developed a virtual reality (VR) treatment program for patients with chronic pain and/or that experienced previous trauma. Shan describes the neuroscience and clinical development behind Harvard MedTech's VR headset and home-based treatment program. Shan also gives an overview of how Harvard MedTech brought their technology to market and was able to gain rapid market adoption with excellent patient outcomes despite initial skepticism. Lastly, Shan gives advice for medtech entrepreneurs on raising funds, building an advisory board, how to bring a product to market, and how to build a great team.
