The Disruptors with Brian Sanders Podcast Former 82nd Airborne Paratrooper and Gang Detective Hunter "Gator" Glass was one of the first detectives to correctly identify, document, and investigate gang members operating in the military. He has traced their presence dating back to the 1970s when Bloods and Crips in Los Angeles were given the option to join the military to avoid prison. Those years set the inception of gangs proliferating throughout U.S. military bases. The same trend was occurring in Chicago with Gangster Disciples, Latin Kings, Vice Lords, and many others signing the dotted line to escape prison sentences. "Gator" Glass investigated gangs for decades and has given over a thousand lectures across the U.S. and other countries. He was a primary source reference in Carter F. Smith's book, "Gangs And The Military," and has been interviewed in numerous news outlets and documentaries.
