Even royal commentators admitted that the announcement’s timing “raised eyebrows” and that it might have been a polite cover for keeping him far away from the cameras. Whether coincidence or calculated withdrawal, the entire episode only deepened the public’s skepticism toward both Andrew’s integrity and the monarchy’s management of his reputation.
