Richard and Sophie are join by palliative care doctor Alistair Duncan and Nurse specialist Angela Wilson to discuss palliative care assessment. During the episode they define palliative care, what the journey may look like for patients, who is involved and when should specialist team get involved. We then utilise their skills and knowledge to discuss a case of a palliative care patient with pain. Including pertinent history, red flags and when to refer.
