Upon robbing the home of his landlords, Fool notices there are unusual men being kept under the stairs in the basement floor. He also discovers a young girl named, Alice in the home as he attempts to escape from under the noses of his landlords.

The People Under the Stairs is a hidden gem from Wes Craven and a movie that sometimes feels over the top in all the right ways. Everett McGill and Wendy Robie stand out as the landlords who are constantly chasing Fool throughout the movie and continue to raise the meter on how evil they can be. This is also not to mention that they are capturing and keeping people in their basement in a sectioned area under the stairs. This is a nice kickoff to Wes Craven month and a movie that is enjoyable to watch each time it's on. Watch the movie and catch our review.
