However, the FPDA, which brings together Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, is little known by the public and even by non-defence officials. Today, we speak to Dr Euan Graham, Senior Fellow for Asia Pacific Security at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, on the FPDA’s history, its relevance to the defence interests of member countries, and the challenges it faces given the rapid changes to the region’s strategic environment.
