In this episode, IndeDocs President Dr. Marcelo Hochman talks with Dr. Jeris Cox, owner of Adore Fertility, about her transition from practicing medicine within the military system to setting up her own practice and the tips, resources, and perspective she’s found along the way.
Dr. Jeris Cox
Dr. Jeris Cox is a highly qualified fertility specialist with board certifications in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG). She completed a prestigious reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2015, following her OB/GYN residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where she served on active duty.
During her fellowship, Dr. Cox received multiple awards from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG) for her exceptional research, papers, and presentations. She then spearheaded the establishment of a fertility clinic at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, where she provided critical fertility services to military members and their families, earning the Joint Service Commendation Medal for her efforts. Dr. Cox has been widely published in renowned medical journals and remains dedicated to advancing the field of reproductive medicine.
Dr. Cox served as an active-duty Major in the Army for 12 years, retiring in 2020 to pursue her dream of practicing medicine in a private practice setting on her own terms. With some perseverance and a little luck, she opened her fertility practice in Charleston, SC in 2021. At Adore Fertility, she focuses on providing compassionate, female-centered fertility care at the lowest cost in the Southeast. Her passion for helping families grow is evident in her commitment to her patients and community, making parenthood accessible, possible, and affordable for all.
