A suspect wanted in Greensboro North Carolina for shooting a man was arrested in New York and charged with the killing of a New York City Police Officer. Greensboro North Carolina Police Department issued a felony warrant for the suspect Lamont Pride. However, the suspect was arrested twice by the New York City Police Department. According to a Daily News article, the Greensboro warrant specified extradite within the State of North Carolina only. That same article reported that New York pressed them to change the warrant but they refused. Why was Greensboro apparently reluctant to pick up a person wanted for a shooting in their city? Was the Greensboro Police Department busy trying to cover up complaints of discrimination filed by Greensboro Police Officers? Did this reluctance contribute to the death of a New York City Police Officer? We will invite police officials of Greensboro North Carolina to participate in this segment of the Justice For All Show on Thursday January 19, 2012 at 6:00 PM eastern time.
