In this episode, I'm going to talk about what is perhaps the most important thing when learning a language: time.

I've studied Ukrainian for just under 180 hours, and while I'm not fluent, I can hold conversations. But getting that much study time in can be difficult. So, how can you study for 90 minutes (or more!) in a single day without getting tired?.

I share four practical tricks that I personally used to hit my study goals:

  1. Using "mini breaks" for "mini study sessions" (yes, even while you're cooking or... otherwise occupied).
  2. How to stop "doom scrolling" and start "learn scrolling" by creating a separate social media account to train the algorithm in your favor.
  3. Pairing your language learning with another activity, like listening to podcasts or music while on a long walk.
  4. A bonus tip: Why your "bad" attention span is actually a superpower for learning languages , and how you can use it to switch between different content every few minutes while staying in your target language.

If you use these tricks, you can increase your study time to two or three hours a day and accelerate your progress much faster than you thought possible.
