Judge Philip Gutierrez is a retired United States District Judge who served in the Central District of California from 2007 to 2024. Appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush, he served as a judge on the Los Angeles Superior Court from 1997 to 2007. With over 35 years of experience as a trial lawyer and state and federal court judge, Judge Gutierrez was a founding member of the United States District Court's Patent Pilot Program.
