The guitar riff on "Rebel Rebel" by David Bowie was played by Alan Parker, a guitarist who helped write the riff and played it for the record itself.

Some have speculated that Mick Ronson, who was known for playing with Bowie, might have played it, but according to Parker, he was the one who contributed to and performed the riff.
