Manage episode 489166118 series 1093928
A very slow week of boxing occurred with the highlights being Richardson Hitchins stopping George Kambosos Jr, which would lead to a call-out of former two-division titleholder Devin Haney. Andy Cruz stopped Hironori Mishiro. This win makes Cruz mandatory for Raymond Muratalla's IBF title.
Friday night, two things to talk about: A card in Ghana went on until the early morning with Andrew Tabiti getting a stoppage win, and LeAnna Cruz had to get off the deck to win her fight against Regina Chavez. Israel Mercado upset Branden Pizarro in the co-feature.
Looking ahead to Thursday, WBO welterweight titleholder Brian Norman Jr faces Jin Sasaki. Is this a Fight of the Year or a mismatch? We discuss.
From Thursday to Saturday, the WBC Grand Prix will enter the second round. This has provided some very exciting bouts so far.
Friday on DAZN, David Stevens vs. Petr Khamukov will meet in a crossroads match.
Saturday on DAZN, Galal Yafai vs. Francisco Rodriguez will take center stage with Peter McGrail in the co-feature.
Saturday on ESPN+, Vito Mielnicki Jr. will face Kamil Gardzielik, other notables on the card, Jahi Tucker vs Lorenzo Simpson, which is a great fight, Brandun Lee, and Jamar Talley.
