Hey Tim the Beaver, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for October 13 through October 20. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—on Wednesday, October 15, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Samsara is hosting a talk in E19-202, complete with lunch. It's a great chance to learn about their work and network. Next—on Monday, October 20, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Insight Partners is holding coffee chats for undergrads and master's students (non-MBA) in E17-294. If you're considering a career in venture capital or private equity, don't miss this. And—also on Monday, October 20, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Insight Partners is offering an introduction to venture capital and private equity in 4-163. A solid opportunity to dive deeper into the field. Over the weekend, our women's track and field team clinched their first NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship. Senior Alexis Boykin led the charge, setting an NCAA record in the shot put. Looking ahead, the Engineers have home games this week—check the athletics schedule for details and come support our teams. On Monday, October 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the MIT Office of Sustainability, MIT Anthropology, and MIT Farm Club are hosting a Fresh Food Bags pop-up market in the Stata Center Lobby (Building 32). It's a fantastic way to grab fresh produce and support local initiatives. A campus trend to note: the MIT Media Lab is gearing up for their "New Beginnings" Fall Member Event from October 21 to 23. While it's just outside our week, the buzz is building, and it's a testament to the Lab's commitment to innovation. For dining, the MIT Fresh Food Bags pop-up market on October 20 is your go-to spot for fresh veggies. Swing by the Stata Center Lobby between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to stock up. This week in Cambridge, expect a mix of rain and wind from a tropical rainstorm on Monday, transitioning to cloudy skies with occasional rain and drizzle on Tuesday. Midweek brings partly sunny and breezy conditions, with temperatures gradually warming up by Sunday. Tip: Keep an umbrella handy early in the week, and enjoy the sunnier days as they come. Your move: Attend the Samsara talk on Wednesday, October 15, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in E19-202. It's a prime opportunity to connect and learn—don't miss out. That's your quick Campus Update.
