(#45) Stewart Isaacs Pt. 3 - The Sustainable Future of Competitive Jump Rope
Manage episode 424691021 series 3403072
“Jump rope is a therapeutic version of expression in a lot of different ways.” —Stewart Isaacs
Stewart Isaacs is one of the top tier world champion jumpers, with a massive amount of experience in the sport. In addition to jump rope, he's also pursuing a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. Needless to say, Stewart brings a lot of great perspective to table. So much so, that we recorded over 3 hours of conversation! I would highly recommend going back and listening to both part 1 and 2 if you haven’t already, because the knowledge bombs are unending.
We round out our chat with a discussion of Stewart’s academic pursuits, looking forward to sustainable ways to boost engagement and accessibility in the sport, the potential threat of not having more open discussions about possible abuse within our primarily youth sport, what jump rope has taught Stewart, and more!
Please enjoy!
