McDonald's 1in 8 program: Chef JOHN LIU blending what he learned working there for his CHIFA eatery!
Manage episode 521419943 series 3578429
We welcome Chef John Liu! He's a proud member of the 1 in 8 Americans who have worked at McDonald’s, began his career in 1984 at a McDonald’s in Malibu, where he worked every position before studying at the University of California, Irvine. This first job gave him a foundation in the skills he carries into his own kitchen and dining room today--teamwork, customer service, and efficiency. Those lessons shaped John’s career not just in food, but across his time in the corporate world. Today, as chef and co-owner of Chifa 國偉 in Los Angeles, John blends his love for Chinese and Peruvian cuisine with the principles McDonald’s taught him—running an efficient kitchen, creating a welcoming experience, and treating every guest like family.
