My emergency c-section with baby 4 (placenta partial rupture) was no fun. The recovery has been arrrrrduous. While I don't want to scare anyone who may need to have a c-section, let's AVOID it when we are able to (I know we sometimes are not and it sometimes is the safest thing.) Let's REALLY make sure it is the LAST resort and the SAFEST option for not just baby but mom too. Postpartum mental health ( depression, anxiety, etc.) can be made better when we are as informed as we can be going into birth! Hospitals or at home, or in a birth center.
