Episode 1 of The Morality Report: “Morality” (with Christopher)
We’re re-slicing the same events through a new lens: morality first, politics second. Matthew and special guest Christopher define morality in practical terms—honesty, integrity, the Golden Rule—and test it against real dilemmas (helping a stranger, relational boundaries, business betrayals, shrinking products, and public narratives).
Key idea: without truth, agreements, promises, and information become unusable; society turns defensive and tribal. The fix starts locally—becoming the neighbor others want, holding ourselves to consistent standards, and converting our “magnetic north” (feelings, tribe, momentary gain) into “true north” (principles we can all rely on).
Why honesty is the “currency of cooperation” (trust, contracts, safety).
Moral dilemmas in the wild: kindness vs. complicity; appearances vs. integrity.
How deception spirals fracture families, markets, and courts.
The compass metaphor: aligning personal impulse (magnetic) to principle (true).
A practical starting point: the Golden Rule as shared civic minimum.
Define your non-negotiables, live them before you legislate them, and become the neighbor you wish you had. This series will keep building a shared moral framework—then apply it.
