In Episode 4 titled Sapphire Spires and the Midnight Codex Nancy returns to the Nexus with a recovered fragment reflecting on her fathers warnings about the Tree of Life Eliza Tinker joins her as they recalibrate an antique compass that points them toward Sapphire Spires a technologically advanced city Upon arrival they sense something amiss and follow the compass to a hidden ancient library where they discover the Midnight Codex This mysterious book is revealed to hold key secrets and a spectral figure Ronin Gravetide seeks its power to break his curse A tense battle ensues between Nancy Eliza and Ronin during which Nancy defends the Codex ultimately securing it as Ronin vows revenge Back at the Nexus they activate the Codex revealing a fragment of the Tree of Life and a haunting message With the compass dimming Nancy prepares for their next adventure aware that Ronin will return and the quest is far from over
