I'm originally from New Zealand but now live in Australia, where I first moved to pursue a career in rugby. After a series of injuries, my career was cut short, and I transitioned into construction. But that also took a major toll on my body, and I knew I needed a new path but had no idea what to do.
Five years ago, without knowing how to use a computer, I bought an online eCommerce course, and my first computer to try to begin to learn the basics. I threw myself into the digital world and product development with no idea what I was doing but a strong drive to succeed. Eventually, I launched a brand that reached #1 in the niche on Amazon in the U.S. That success opened my eyes to the power of eCommerce and solving real problems for real people.
That’s where the idea for Tusq was born — a premium, fashion-first men’s shapewear brand built to help guys feel confident in themselves and their bodies without sacrificing style, solving a problem nobody else in the industry is doing. Tusq delivers structure, support, and swagger to a category that’s long been ignored. We’re rewriting the narrative for the 3 in 4 men who struggle with body image and want to look and feel their best, and by doing that changing the way they show up in the world.
