Learning about the "reflective self" or what they call in Buddhism the unattached self. Not letting feelings dictate your actions; acknowledging them and then letting them go. I let my feelings drive my decision making most of my life instead of thought alone. When you're able to detach yourself from the conformity and timidity that "feelings" can conjure, you may find more peace and joy within. Who are you at your core? Feelings can cause irrational thinking and resentment to name a few. Relying on material things to fill you with happiness can cause nervous breakdowns after material loss- Strip yourself of conformity, mimicry, and timidity!
