Hey Satsmate Stackers,

Many gatekeepers are at the epicenter of finance and control the avenues we can invest in. While many of them may say their job is to protect us, this can also hurt our long-term gains.

In this podcast, I discuss the freedom to invest as you choose and why Bitcoin is an important component of liberty in investment. In the end, centralized control will try to stop us, but we must speak up so more options can open up for us in investing!

  • Traditional retirement investing, like Vanguard’s approach, offers a 3% employer match but sacrifices higher rates of return by limiting access to innovative assets.
  • Arizona’s Senate Bill 1025 highlights the state retirement system’s veto of Bitcoin investments, stifling progressive financial opportunities.
  • Ironically, Arizona’s retirement system holds significant shares in MicroStrategy (MSTR), a company with substantial Bitcoin investments.
  • Many prominent Democrats consistently oppose forward-thinking assets, resisting financial innovation.
  • Why do policymakers block such investments? The question demands scrutiny.
  • The defensive argument cites risk, yet diversification is essential, as seen in the FTX collapse impacting Ontario’s Pension Fund.
  • Caution is critical for pensions and retirement accounts—people’s lifelong savings—but overly restrictive policies hinder growth.
  • Individuals should have the autonomy to invest in Bitcoin if they choose.
  • Investments in gold, silver, and other commodities should also be permitted without exception.
  • Bitcoin, as a forward-thinking asset, deserves inclusion in diversified portfolios.
  • Policymakers who fail to understand Bitcoin’s potential risk are undermining Arizona’s wealth and its retirement system.
  • Rejecting innovative assets limits opportunities for financial growth and resilience.
  • Cutting-edge investment strategies are essential to safeguard and enhance the financial future of individuals and institutions.
