Tropic Thunder Review: 1:40

Buffering - Holiday 2003: 28:23

Seasonal Awards: 1:07:31

Last Looks: 1:10:46

Welcome back to The Stream episode 62, and the 36th physically distanced episode.

In our main review, we are talking about Tropic Thunder, available on Prime Video

Tropic Thunder is a 2008 satirical action comedy film directed by Ben Stiller. It stars Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Jay Baruchel, and Brandon T. Jackson as a group of prima donna actors making a Vietnam War film. When their frustrated director (played by Steve Coogan) drops them in the middle of a jungle, they are forced to rely on their acting skills to survive the real action and danger. It is a parody of many famous war films, specifically those based on the Vietnam War.

Then in our buffering segment, we are going over the top domestic box office films of the Holiday season of 2003 which includes such films as:

  • Monster
  • LOTR: Return of the King
  • Cheaper by the Dozen
  • Love Don’t Cost a Thing
  • And many more

Finally In our Last Looks segment, we are recommending:

Nadir: Skyfall, available on Hulu

Gian: Jurassic Park, available on HBO Max

:

Next episode we are reviewing, The Tax Collector, available on Hulu

Listen to Nadir's Album: Takoma Park
