Hey everyone, this is Madhan, and welcome to 'The Traveller's Diary' podcast!
Today's episode, "A Tea in a Bachelor's Life," is something most of us can relate to. Before I dive into my interesting tea experiences, please keep supporting the podcast!
Growing up, I was never a tea person; it was always Boost or Horlicks. Tea was a rare, last-resort drink until I stepped into bachelor life in Chennai. That's when tea truly became a part of me.
I remember Chai Kanth in Karapakkam, OMR – it was 'the' happening spot after sunset. Sipping tea with friends, watching the sparse night traffic – those were unforgettable days and an unforgettable place. Then there was Chai Kings, our refuge when everything else was closed.
During those days, money was tight, and we spent carefully. When things got tough, we'd head to a friend's sister's place nearby for a comforting meal. There were times I was alone, and tea would always chase away that loneliness. Tea brings back so many memories for me.
Like the time we stumbled upon Tea Boy in Little Mount – 15 teas for just a few rupees, thanks to a new opening offer! There are so many more tea stories.
But then, something happened that I never expected, and it still makes me feel guilty. What was it? I'll tell you in the next episode! Keep supporting and share your guesses in the comments. See you soon!
