We first start our conversation talking about what it was like for him growing up in Carson, California. Jayson goes on to talk about how his upbringing in Carson really molded him into being the man he is today and doing what he’s doing in music today. Jayson is a preacher‘s grandchild, who grew up in the church and attended church services almost every day as a youth. We talk about how the church was a major influence in his upbringing and allowed him to walk a straight path that wasn’t necessarily influenced by the streets because he was constantly involved in the church. We later go on to have a conversation about a tragic moment in his life when Jayson was shot three times. That incident where he ended up being shot was a pivotal moment in his life, not only because he could’ve lost his life, but because it was the turning point for his career and his pursuit to be in the music business full-time. Jayson goes on to reveal to us that even though he reached a major goal that he already had, which was to be signed by a major record label.
