When love never felt steady as a kid, your body learns to stay alert. Even years later, calm love can feel confusing because your nervous system remembers the old danger.

In this episode, Naomi talks about how the body holds those early lessons and why safe love can feel scary at first. She shares how she kept people at a distance after leaving the cult and how her Nana helped her see that this was protection, not rejection. Now she shows how we can slowly teach our bodies that love does not have to hurt.

TRY THIS REFLECTION & ASK YOURSELF:

  • When does care make me tense up
  • What am I afraid will happen if I let someone close
  • What would feel gentle for me right now

QUOTE OF THE EPISODE
