A Devotion for your drive into work:

Will the Church go into the world as just another compromised voice—or as a purified, humble bride recently returned to Christ through repentance and heart change?

Drawing from Ezekiel 16:23–43, Pastor Brian Noble unpacks the “prophetic cycle” of blessing, infidelity, judgment, and redemption. Jerusalem is pictured as an unfaithful wife who uses God’s gifts for idolatrous purposes and, as a result, faces exposure, loss, and discipline. But God’s purpose, even in His anger, is to bring about repentance and restoration—so the bride may once again be holy, devoted, and used powerfully in the world. The lesson is deeply relevant for modern believers and churches: only those who undergo true heart change and walk in ongoing repentance can influence the public square for God’s kingdom, rather than blend in with the world’s values. The prayer closes, “Lord, forgive us, cleanse my heart, restore me, and make me useful for your kingdom today.”

We are transforming our hearts so we can shape the public square. If you're interested in starting a public square ministry, check out these free resources - https://fpiw.org/public-square-ministry
