As the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the entire water/wastewater community gear up for the organization's annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC), Water Online's Travis Kennedy and Kevin Westerling sat down with WEF Executive Director Ralph Exton to get a preview of the show and all it has to offer. The event, running Oct. 5-9 in New Orleans, will host more than 21,000 participants and feature more than 1,000 exhibitors, with technical sessions galore (120+), 17 workshops, 6 facility tours, and much more.
Exton also shares his journey through the water profession and the vision he brings to WEF, with detail on longer-term WEF initiatives, insight on industry challenges, and thoughts on current trends and technologies.
