A topic that Rich suggested, simply because he has been afraid Danny would come to him and want to do a Mr. Roboto Show, or something. He needn’t have worried, however, because Paradise Theatre is the point that Danny regards as the creative peak of Styx, one of his favorite bands. The album tells the story of the venerable old theater in Chicago that opened in 1928 and was torn down exactly 30 years later. Rich talks about how much he admires Tommy Shaw, but not so much with Dennis DeYoung. Danny tolerates it.
