I was honoured to have the opportunity to interview Mindset Coach Kevin Paulraj over the Christmas holidays in 2023.

Kevin has been featured by news outlets like Business Insider, Yahoo News & New York Weekly and is a mindset expert renowned for coaching thousands globally via his keynotes and life & business programs.

During my interview with Kevin he discusses:

The four things that help people to build a bulletproof mindset, purpose and why you exist, discipline, doing what you say, developing self-love, the power of alchemy to turn things around, maintaining consistency, values that are most important to us, verse those that are least important, breakthrough procrastination, things that inspire you, natural flow, living authentically, expressing your true self, standing up for yourself and taking charge, the response in the middle, the little voice in your head, using your intuition to push past your ego, non-attachment to the result, mastering self-love, the mind broken up into parts, self-judgement, staying calm and collected in the midst of a crisis, mindset shifting, adjusting to suffering, leveraging our obstacles, being resilient, turning problems into solutions, learning to laugh at your problems, personal productivity, the elements of productivity, giving yourself mini challenges, and using the streaks app to track your daily habits.

Some of the key insights that Kevin shared throughout the interview include:

  1. Pride comes before the fall. Anytime you go into pride you’ll experience a consequence. The game is about keeping yourself in the middle being as authentic and centred as you possibly can.
  2. When you lie to yourself and you want to do things for the accolades, then you end up being inauthentic and it takes you a longer time to master something.
  3. Now when you’re saying, I don’t like another part of myself, what you are doing is you’re judging yourself. And when you’re judging yourself, that’s the antithesis of self-love.
  4. People can look at one situation and say it’s the worst thing ever but someone else can look at the same situation and say it’s the best thing ever and the only thing that makes the difference is the question that they choose to ask.
  5. The only difference between the levels is the is how many benefits that you see, and the more benefits you see of how the negative situation is serving you, is how resilient you’re going to be.
  6. When a situation hits us, that’s reality, you can’t resist it. The obstacle is the way, our obstacles, our challenges, our suffering is the way, because that’s what builds our character, that’s what helps us become the person we need to be to go & achieve our dreams.
  7. When you’re able to see that the traits that you want, the person that you want, the character that you want, is only going to be built by suffering, then it’s so much easier in the midst of suffering to look at a situation no matter how bad it is to see how it is serving us because it always is.
