Why would God talk about animals to a suffering man? In this episode of The Wisdom Journey, Stephen Davey explores Job 38:39–40:14, where God responds to Job not with explanations, but with illustrations from the natural world. God takes Job—and us—on a divine field trip to the zoo, highlighting creatures like lions, ravens, ostriches, and eagles.

Each animal reveals something about God’s creativity, wisdom, and care. From the hunting instinct of lions to the hilarious oddities of the ostrich, and the sharp vision of eagles, God shows that He governs every detail of life. And if He’s in control of animals, He’s certainly in control of our lives too.

This lesson isn’t about animal trivia—it’s about discovering comfort in the character of God. If He can provide for birds and beasts, He will care for you. And if His ways in nature sometimes seem unusual, it reminds us that His ways in our lives may not always make sense, but they are always wise.

Don’t miss this encouraging message that invites you to trust your Creator—even when life is confusing—because His design in nature is proof of His design for you.
