In boxing, a contender is a qualified fighter who has worked their way up the ranks and is considered a potential challenger for a world title. They are typically ranked among the top fighters in their weight division and are often seen as having a good chance of winning a championship. Dwight Johnson is just that, a long standing heavyweight contender who never made it to the championship he wanted. He was always one fight away from the big time, but it seems fate always brought him back down to reality. In this tale from The Wroth Files, Dwight will find out that his hard luck was not always due to his lack of skill, but more so due to dirty business practices with his promoter Donald Kirkpatrick. A felon turned dirty boxing promoter who exploited his naive fighters out of their health and riches. A promoter, who will experience firsthand the hurt and pain that he caused for each of his athletes here in The Wroth Files.
