On a cold and rainy night for baseball, the Mets picked up an inspiring late-inning win, reminiscent of the latter half of the 2024 season. Former Met Chris Bassitt kept the Mets lineup off balance for most of the game. Griffin Canning matched him stride for stride early, but ultimately his pitch count got him out of the game with no outs recorded in the 5th.

The Mets bullpen was solid once again, with Butto only allowing one run, but the star was Huascar Brazobán. He pitched 2.1 scoreless innings that kept the Mets within striking distance. Jesse Winker tied the game with his second triple of the night in the 8th, and Francisco Lindor hit a walkoff sac fly to end it, off the first pitch thrown by Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman. Mets go for the sweep today! #LGM #Mets #MetsBaseball
