Hello, and welcome very much to Tony Slattery’s Rambling Club!

Come and join us for our very first outing as Club President Tony Slattery takes us gently by the bunions and leads us on a whistle-stop tour of two special destinations chosen entirely at random with the use of his enchanted bingo machine.

The omniscient voice of Stephen Fry is on hand to let us know where we’re going and why.

First stop is destination number 821: English poetry. Join Tony, Paul Carmichael and Allan Lear as they misremember, misquote and misunderstand poetry from the greatest English bards that they can think of off the top of their heads.

But don’t tarry too long, because before you can say William Topaz McGonagall the magical bingo machine is whisking us off again – this time to the wilds of destination 130: Parapsychological and occult methods for achieving wellbeing, happiness and success. What have our panel to say about the use and abuse of the black arts for the purposes of living, laughing and loving? Find out before we head back to Tony’s shed for a much-needed sit down and a gasper.
