Bittensor.ai, Pectra Upgrade, New Hampshire & BTC, Coinbase's x402
Manage episode 481292797 series 3655261
A banger of an episode as Professor Chris welcomes a featured panelist on today's show, Lukas from NorthTensor, the team behind Bittensor.ai, one of the biggest landing spots for getting introduced to the Bittensor ecosystem. Also joining us on panel is 0xJirachi, BD for Formation.
Quite a bit was covered today, as we started off with the large Ethereum network upgrade, code-named Pectra, that had multiple network updates, but the largest and most talked about is the wallet-upgraded EIP-7702 standard, which allows regular externally-owned addresses (EOAs) to gain some smart contract functionality. We talked about pros and cons and security measures to consider.
We also covered New Hampshire being the first US state to sign a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR) into law, who will be next?
We also hit on Coinbase's new open x402 initiative, which cleverly uses the old HTTP 402 status code to allow for payment rails across blockchains with literally ONE line of code. It's a big deal.
