We start off this episode by diving into one of the first recorded witch hunts, 'The Valais Witch Trials'. This gives us insight into how "witches" were exposed, hunted, convicted, and executed. The trials in Valais, Switzerland sparked a fear of "witches" that spreads across Europe, leaving a trail of mass murder and destruction of innocent people. We look at the trials for Peter, Francoise/Jacques, and Anna Goldi. Anna is one of the last witches in Europe to be executed and she was exonerated in 2008, more than 200 years after her wrongful conviction.
