4-Year-Old Refuses to Die After Mass Killer Dad Goes on Rampage - Michael Brian Miller Police Interrogation

In May 2009, a gruesome tragedy struck a suburban Glendale neighborhood: Michael Brian Miller fatally stabbed his wife and 10-year-old daughter, then attacked his 4-year-old son. Calling 911, he calmly reported the murders, citing delusions—saying he believed his wife was a demon and that both "God and Lucifer" drove him, even claiming he stabbed his son most because “he loved him the most.”

Diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, Miller was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without parole for two counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

This episode delves into that horrifying night, the mental illness that fuelled the violence, the survivor’s path to recovery, and the legal and ethical questions raised in the wake of this horrifying domestic slaughter.

Content Warning: This episode contains graphic details of violence against a woman and children, references to mental health delusions, and survivor trauma. Listener discretion is strongly advised.
