Testimony reveals that the victims were lured to a trailer under false pretenses and murdered in a religiously motivated plot led by Tifany Adams, the children’s grandmother, amid a custody dispute. Grice admitted Adams asked him to kill Butler and used Bible verses to justify the act, while Twombly described her role in destroying evidence. The women’s bodies were later found in an underground freezer, and both defendants now face lengthy sentences under plea deals as the case heads toward trial.
