This week, Anthony and I explore different types of boundaries, offering examples of what this might look like for various Enneagram types. Boundaries are essential to developing healthy relationships of any kind, but they’re often misunderstood or wielded incorrectly. I think of boundaries as value-based, invisible lines that we set up to take care of ourselves and our relationships. They tell people what they can expect from us in life and what we can expect from them. When we understand and maintain healthy boundaries, we escape the pitfalls of resentment and disappointment in ourselves and others, and all the anger that builds up when another person, or even a group, pushes against or violates those boundaries.
