Over the course of our conversation you will hear us talk about Reichardt subverting the expectations of a typical western and how critics at the time clearly didn't get it, how the movie gives its women protagonists agency and how it functions as a takedown of the American Dream. We also talk about how expensive cheap films probably are, how important it is to take a chair to a lookout and just how unrecognizable Bruce Greenwood was in his trapper getup.
