In this episode, we explore the transformative power of humility in our relationships with God and one another. Drawing from Acts 12:22-23, we reflect on King Herod’s prideful downfall and contrast it with the call to “complete humility” in Ephesians 4:1-2. Humility, a deep sense of our dependence on God and value for others, is not just a virtue but a command, essential for living in community and fulfilling our calling as disciples of Christ.

We’ll define humility, examine its Biblical measure, and discuss how to grow through practical actions: serving others, submitting to authority, listening carefully, and confessing our faults. Finally, we look to Christ, who models perfect humility in Matthew 11:28-30 and invites us to learn from Him.

Discussion Questions:

1. How do you define humility in your life? Are you fertile ground for God to work in?

2. Why do you think humility is commanded in “one another” relationships?

3. How can you pursue “complete humility” in your interactions this week?

4. Reflecting on Galatians 6:1 and 2 Timothy 2:25, how can we correct others with gentleness while staying humble ourselves?

5. How does Jesus’ example in Matthew 11:28-30 encourage you to grow in humility?

Let’s learn to walk in humility together, living a life worthy of the calling we have received.
