Music Services, a division of SESAC Music Group, offers a wide range of technology, licensing, and administration services for music publishers, record labels, and artists around the world. That’s a lot under one roof. And with a name like Music Services, it can mean a lot of different things.

To help break it all down, we sat down with John Raso, CEO of Audiam—the division of Music Services that helps artists get paid from YouTube.

This is the first in a series of conversations with key players at Music Services, recorded during their SXSW party—somewhere between bites of what might’ve been the best hotdogs I’ve ever had and sets from some amazing live acts, including UK duo Big Special, who made a huge splash in Austin this year.
