A very engaging and informative interview with John and Sonya of Women's Firearm Academy. We discuss the proper approach to gun ownership when you're ready, and ensuring you're doing what you can to avoid using it unless you really have to. John, a law enforcement professional, provides great tips on situational awareness, deescalation, and how your location shouldn't change your approach to personal safety. Sonya talks about putting these tactics in practice as an active mom. Both talk about transitioning WFA to Vigilant Family, as they have, through their experiences, embrace and promote the idea of family - and single moms - as a strong unit where everyone plays an important part in their safety and preparedness.

Learn more about WFA/Vigilant Family at www.womensfirearmacademy.com. You can also find them on Facebook. They are located in Whitefish, Montana. If you are in the area or can get there, take their upcoming class on March 8th, "Legally Armed-Beyond the Fight—Self-Defense & The Law: What Every Woman Needs to Know!"
