WOLFMAN'S GOT NARDS!!!! There are two kinds of people who grew up in the late 1980s and 90s: Goonies people, and Monster Squad people. Dave and Tom are most definitely Monster Squad people.

This movie started off as a reboot of the classic Universal monsters: Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Wolfman, The Gillman (The Creature from the Black Lagoon), and the Mummy, in classic monster-meet-up fashion. Universal didn't come through, so instead, we got The Monster Squad (1987) with new interpretations of those OG nightmare fuel baddies from Rick Baker packaged in the ultimate adventure movie for tween boys.

The squad has nothing but each other, an ancient amulet, Abraham Van Helsing's journal, and a scary German guy to go up against Dracula and the forces of darkness! So grab you stakes and your bow, your silver bullets and your "virgin" older sister, and listen now! ROCK UNTIL YOU DROP! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
