Domino’s Pizza is using several digital innovations to attract customers. Included are an app to track a pizza while en route to a customer; a Siri-like voice recognition system, nicknamed Dom; and the ability to order on just about any digital device and platform. Through these innovations, Dominos has managed to bring in more than 60% of its business through digital channels. The company feels they have convinced a generation of ‘digital native’ pizza lovers that it really does understand their needs. (Source: Detroit Free Press)

SitorSquat by Charmin is a handy app for a road trip. This app helps you find clean bathrooms along your route on a road trip or within the city.

Being a bathroom snob, I love this app. Today we used the app on our way home from picking up our son at camp. There wasn’t a Buckees in sight (Buckees has the cleanest bathrooms in Texas) so I used this app to navigate us to a decent bathroom. You can also use the filter to find only bathrooms that are accessible or have changing tables.

This is a great app! Download it for your next road trip!

Tech Tip:

Share your location from Messages

When you share your location in Messages, your friend can follow you in Messages and Find My Friends.

Here’s how:

1In the Messages conversation with your friend, tap Details the “i” in a circle to the right of the contact’s name.

2Tap Share My Location, then choose how long you want to share your location.

?If you choose Share for One Hour or Share Until End of Day, you see the time left when you tap Details in the conversation. You also appear in Find My Friends on your friend’s device for the hour or day.

?If you choose Share Indefinitely, you’re added to Find My Friends on your friend’s device.

3Your friend will receive a map with your location in the Messages conversation.

This is a great way to communicate your location if you get lost or separated from your group.
