According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 3 adults age 65 and older fall each year. Of those who fall, 20% to 30% suffer moderate to severe injuries that make it hard for them to get around or live independently. Falls also increase the risk of early death. Our special guest today, Dina Ramon, is from iStand Falls Prevention which is a product of HoliVision which is a company that specializes in fall prevention exercise for seniors and employees. On today's episode, we will learn about iStand along with learning some important tips in order to prevent falls.
