Firstly, I have come from a family with a history of drug or alcohol abuse, however I have never abused any substance but believe that genetic factors play a huge roll in whether or not an individual becomes an addict. The United States has an extremely large rate of people that report drug abuse or that admit to being addicted in general, it is widely expanded with drugs whether it be marijuana or heroin.
