In Episode 12, we chat with Dawn Jones, LPN, an experienced nurse and current Ombudsman - a patient advocate and trained mediator - for long-term care facilities in Baltimore. We discuss the challenges that arise in long-term care facilities, including roommate issues and staffing shortages, and talk about the process of mediating those conflicts. Holly is appalled at the idea of a roommate turning the thermostat to any temperature besides 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
